The W’s Wear Wednesdays with de Rosairo

One sleeve dress in black from de Rosairo

Head to the W Seattle this Wednesday, May 14 for the hotel’s latest fashion find for their Wear Wednesdays program: de Rosairo, the first collection from former Seattleite, now San Fran-based, Nishika de Rosairo. Her summer capsule collection, which debuted to the industry in February, consists of two dresses and three tops, all in Modal, which is a lovely, soft knit that has a bit of give, and inspired by the hoodie, something that de Rosairo became smitten with as an exchange student to the States from her native New Zealand in 2003.

“Just like Diane von Furstenberg invented the wrap dress, de Rosairo will be known for re-imagining the hoodie,” says the designer, what wants to make it accessible for the modern woman to “incorporate it into her contemporary wardrobe.”

Swing by the W from 5 to 7 p.m., meet the designer, nibble on some Fran’s chocolates and check out this emerging designer’s new work.
