After seven hours and four partially victorious attempts, the Seattle Public Library managed to successfully complete a complex, weaving and winding book domino chain with 2,131 books. Credit is still pending from RecordSetter as to whether or not it actually set the world record for longest book domino chain. (The previous record used a meager 1,000 tomes.)

At around 11 p.m., when the fifth try was successful, “everyone was jumping up and down, hugging and shouting,” said Amy Twito, the library’s youth program manager. “Despite how tired we were at that point, everyone stayed to box up all the books, which had to be on the loading dock by midnight.”
