Awww, sweet!

Thursday is ice cream sammie day at Theo Chocolate Factory in Fremont (3400 Phinney Ave N; 206.632.5100), with the chill staff serving up cookies stuffed with dreamy Bluebird Ice Cream between 1 and 6 p.m.

This is a feel-good goody, with a portion of the proceeds going to Food Lifeline. (Next week’s fundraiser involves housemade marshmallows on some spectacular s’mores. Oh, we mean Th’mores, of course.)

Those ice cream sandwiches are built on housemade cookies: Gooey Double Chocolate Mocha as well as a gluten-free Quinoa Chocolate Chip.

The folks at Theo’s hope to raise enough to provide 2,000 meals through Food Lifeline’s Summer Meals Program. Let’s do our part to help them achieve that goal, huh?

In other ice cream news, Full Tilt is saying a big thank you for the warm welcome the ‘hood has given its new Ballard location (5453 Leary Ave NW) by giving away free scoops Monday, starting at noon… until they run out!
