Where to Watch the Final Presidential Debate

| Posted

Watching Obama and Romey face-off is always more fun in a crowd, so join friends at one of these neighborhood restaurants to watch the third and final presidential debate (10/28, 6pm), focusing on foreign policy. The themed food and libations offered here should definitely pique your electoral energy.

For the Eats
Madison Park Conservatory

This popular eatery will host a “Debate Tailgate” that is far from hot dogs grilled in the back of a truck. Enjoy a three-course meal including a salad with herbs, chicories and peaches, plus, chicken and dumplings with kale, and apple pie a la mode. The best part: a half-price wine list, so you can toast generously to your candidate’s best jabs. $33 Prix Fixe. Reservations recommended: 206.324.9701.

For the Drinks
5 Spot

As the 5 Spot hilariously recommends, “vote with your liver” by selecting one of their “red” or “blue” cocktails featuring broVo spirits. For example, you can order either a “Let Me Be Clear” Martini (blue) or a “Private Sector Sunrise” (red). Cast a vote by simply choosing your cocktail, or by entering the restaurant through the blue or red door before watching the debate on the big screen. Results will be tallied and posted on the 5 Spot’s Facebook page.

For the Glory

Ballard neighborhood favorite Bastille will screen the debate in the Back Room, where the management encourages your “full-throated support” of your candidate. Enjoy some of Bastille’s tasty French fare and enter the “best debate zinger” contest for a chance to win a drink on the house.

And don't forget to vote on or by November 6.
