Peanut: “Meet Mom Friends” is the tagline for this app, which functions as a kind of platonic Tinder for busy mamas. Users can find fellow moms with similar values, learn about meetups, find and share advice and experiences, and more.

Fashwire: Via a direct interface between designers and fashionistas, users rate new fashion items with feedback that is returned to the designer in real time. It’s great for those who “love interacting with like-minded people and using their knowledge base to influence others,” says founder and CEO Kimberly Carney who owns a boutique by the same name in Magnolia (3308 W McGraw St.)

SoundPrint: If you’re looking for a nice, quiet place to talk or work, this app is as effective as a pair of noise-canceling headphones. Weed out noisy restaurants, cafés, bars and venues to protect your hearing and have a conversation without shouting over the table.

All apps are free and available at the Apple app store (Peanut and Fashwire are also available at the Android Play store).
