Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the Washington State Convention Center, Emerald City Comicon (4/7–4/10) returns, bigger and badder than ever.

Ka-pow! Adding to the fun this year is the debut of the ECCC Western Championships of Cosplay, which will kick off the Global Championships of Cosplay, produced by pop culture events company ReedPOP. Which means you’ll see plenty of attendees dressed up as sci-fi heroes, comic book characters and, er, whatever—vying for best costume titles.
