Surprise, another fantastic food purveyor has signed a lease in Ballard.

Vegan, organic Mighty-O Donuts of Green Lake fame is moving into a 2,500 square foot spot at the corner of NW Market Street and 17th Street, next to a weight loss clinic. The white industrial sign juts out onto the street, the O dangling as if to say ‘OH YES.’

Come late July, doughnut lovers can expect the same variety of lickety-split flavors – French Toast, Coffee Bean and Apple Fritter are personal favorites – but the new location will feature a large exhibition bakery where passersby can watch as founder Ryan Kellner’s pastries come to life. Kellner told Eater that the space will have more of a community hang-out feel with design influenced by Ballard’s maritime roots.

Mighty-O representatives say the shop will feature about 50 seats inside and up to 16 more outside. Proposed hours are 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
