WHY WE LOVE HER STYLE: Shiramizu, the owner of Momo boutique in the International District, has a very short style icon: her 7-year-old niece. So she often looks to girlhood’s flowy skirts and comfortable fabrics to pull together her easygoing style. “My style is a mix of Tinkerbell and Morticia from The Addams Family,” the I.D. maven says. “I like to take a cue from that childlike spunk, but pull it back for adult sophistication.” Layered tights, short tunics and chunky scarves satisfy her inner kid, and her grownup side is drawn to subtle European designers such as Cop-Copine and Deca-Paris. Sporting body-conscious, no-fuss garments that travel well for trips to Japan, Shiramizu adds visual interest with locally made long earrings or chunky necklaces to accent her favorite gray and black palette.

THE ENSEMBLE: Chocolate brown Spitfire wool newsboy cap by New York Hat Co., Momo; Yuri Kinoshita ivory-colored bird pin, a gift from the designer; Lisa Kinoshita stone necklace with hammered silver links, Cop-Copine black cotton turtleneck and long gray cardigan vest with pockets, layered with Petit Pois black tulle ruffle skirt worn as a dress, Metalicus chocolate brown and black striped tights, all from Momo; black Beta lace-up combat boots, Clementine.
