Bitterroot BBQ

Why: “Braised beef and pulled pork sandwiches are only $5 from 3 to 6 and again from 11 to 1. All booze–beer, whiskey, cocktails– is discounted.”

Why: “It has an early and a late happy hour with a bevy of yummy craft cocktails (the Madame Toulouse is a fave!) and bonus: It also has special prices on some seriously delicious food at these times. The French fries are my go-to!”

Cicchetti

Why: “Cicchetti has an excellent happy hour at the bar. If you get the chance, try the Pomegranate Muhmarrah, a hearty spread made out of nuts, pomegranates and more spices than I can remember. For drinks, the Garcia Fiore cocktail is an excellent take on a Cosmo. Using Vino Verde Rose (slightly bubbly rose) helps to make this cocktail a little less sweet.”

Why: “So, so many good ones, but one of my faves actually revolves around food (no surprise): Billy Beach Sushi in Ballard. It has happy hour prices on sushi every day til 7 p.m.!”

Why: “It’s a quintessential West Seattle bar and lounge in the Junction with a retro vibe and great comfort food. Sometimes my husband and I will walk to the Junction, fully intent on running errands, but we inevitably end up at West 5, clinking tiki glasses and sharing nachos.”
