Somewhere deep within an anonymous Lynnwood office park is Wardrobe Ltd., an appointment-only fashion lover’s paradise, with more than 3,000 pieces of the most highly coveted consigned couture and premier designer clothing, handbags and shoes. Owned, operated and obsessively curated by 22-year-old sartorial wunderkind Austin Deppa—who started the company when he was 16—Wardrobe Ltd. is where serious luxury shoppers buy and sell their Chanel, Hermès, Valentino, Prada and other heavy hitters. Deppa has a dedicated following of about 300 select clients in Seattle and across the country who consign their pristine Gucci and unworn Alexander McQueen runway couture for between 15 and 80 percent off retail (except for most Chanel and coveted Birkin bags, which appreciate in value) and, in return, receive between 50 and 85 percent of the profit. Deppa does a swift eBay business (stores.ebay.com/Wardrobe-Ltd), which is the best place to browse about 85 percent of his inventory, but if you’re a serious buyer or seller, Deppa will provide concierge services, including complimentary closet cleanouts, private in-home appointments and hand delivery of consignment checks. wardrobe-ltd.com

The Seattle retail giant is seemingly on a quest to sell virtually everything
