Just when you thought it was time to retire your winter wools, the leading U.S. knitting event is bringing needle slingers from all over the country to tell you otherwise. Vogue Knitting Live! is making its West Coast debut in Bellevue at the Meydenbauer Convention Center and Hyatt Regency Bellevue April 5 through 7 and is expecting more than 3,000 crafters to descend upon the Seattle area to take classes (from beginner to advanced), shop for unique fibers and view fashion shows and one-of-a-kind art.

Yarn enthusiasts have access to everything from the predictable (over 60 vendors hawking their wears) to the unexpected (a knitted miniature zombie hunt) and nearly everything in between. The event is partnering with World Vision’s Knit for Kids, and any garments you create at Vogue Knitting LIVE! can give warmth and comfort to kids in need. Tickets start at $15. For a complete schedule and to purchase tickets, visit the Knitting Live website [that web site is currently down, check Vogue Knitting for details].

Amazon Now Sells Cars. What’s Next?

The Seattle retail giant is seemingly on a quest to sell virtually everything
