Bounce-house-weary moms and Hunger Games–crazed kids have a cool new birthday party option: archery. The newly remodeled Next Step Archery facility in Mountlake Terrace offers kids (and adults) a chance to learn Olympic-style archery, either just for fun or for competition. Parties include a short lesson, archery challenges, and lots of games and moving targets. Want to get serious? Kids can sign up for the Junior Olympic archery development program, which teaches kids ages 6–18 team building, precision and a love of archery.
Eight-week classes, $134.95; private lessons, $49.95/hour; parties, $29.95 per archer. Mountlake Terrace, 22313 70th Ave. W, Suite U14; 425.977.2770; nextsteparchery.com
