By Seattle Magazine Staff November 14, 2014

Must See
A Film Festival Full of Shorts
Saturday (11/15, times vary) Finally, a film festival that values efficiency! This one-day fest features three screenings of new short films, including the comedy Lunch, which features local actresses Wonder Russell and Lisa Coronado. Also on the tidy bill: Spokane filmmaker Mischa Jakupcak’s sweet The Hero Pose.
Must Shop
New Boutiques and Sales to Shop Now
(Dates and times vary) This time of year we’re supposed to be on the lookout for gifts for others. But we see no problem with slipping a sable or two for yourself in with gifts handpicked for friends and family. A few new stores and big sales make it possible to do your shopping before the holiday madness arrives.
Must Ascend
EMP’s Game Of Thrones Virtual Reality Exhibit Begins
(Opens 11/13, times vary) Continuing its trend of awesome fantasy exhibitions, next week Seattle’s EMP Museum is bringing us Game of Thrones: Ascend the Wall, a 4D virtual reality experience that basically lets you pretend to be Jon Snow.
Must Read
Experience the Short Run Comix and Arts Festival
Saturday (11/15, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.) Celebrate indie comic books, graphic novels, literary magazines, alt zines and more small press goodness at the annual Short Run fest, this year spreading its pages all over Washington Hall.
Must Get Hungry
Where Seattle Chefs Dine Out
They know food—and they don’t need to impress on their nights off—which means chefs have the skinny on the best drinks and dining in Seattle and on the Eastside.
