The annual four-day camping and music festival at Orcas Island’s waterfront Doe Bay Resort celebrates its 10th anniversary this month, keeping alive fest founders and event producers Joe and Maureen Brotherton’s vision of an intimate, “summer camp for musicians,” with a crowd capped at about 1,000.
This year’s lineup, billed as “A Family Reunion,” will include only acts that have played its various, untraditional stages (which have names like “Otter Cove” and “Yoga Studio”) sometime over the past nine years. While the exact bill remained a secret as of press time, as Joe says, “All performers will have already performed at a past Doe Bay Fest, so there’s that.” Tickets sell out quickly; check website for updates.
