Personal fragrance is, well, personal. Wearing a signature scent makes an olfactory impression on the people in your life, forever evoking thoughts of you when they catch a whiff of it elsewhere.
For Maria Christofilis, the passion for perfume is also her profession. The Mount Baker mom, who founded home-scent reed diffuser lines Antica Farmacista and Anthousa, is back in business with Fleur09—a luxuriant white floral scent redolent of tuberose, jasmine and orange blossom. Christofilis worked with superstar perfumer Rodrigo Flores-Roux (who has created scents for Calvin Klein and Tom Ford) on the limited-edition fragrance, which comes in 1.7-ounce ($200) and 3.2-ounce ($320) sizes. Fleur09 is available at mariachristofilis.com and Essenza (Fremont, 615 N 35th St.; 206.547.4895; essenza-inc.com).
