Music festivals usually go hand in hand with summertime. But band booking and promotion company Artist Home’s summer festivals (including the boutique Doe Bay Fest on Orcas Island and Timber! Outdoor Music Festival in Carnation) have been so successful that organizer Kevin Sur decided to re-create the magic in the off-season, and in 2014, Timbrrr! began in the picture-postcard mountain village of Leavenworth.
This year’s lineup, in several venues around the area, including Festhalle, features Seattle R&B darling Parisalexa, soul nine-piece The True Loves with a tribute to Aretha Franklin, Carissa’s Wierd singer-songwriter Jenn Champion, Sub Pop’s Kyle Craft and many others. The family-friendly weekend also offers ticket and accommodations packages, drop-off child care, a sledding outing and more. (And a hot toddy garden, naturally.) 1/25–1/26. Times, prices and venues vary. Leavenworth, winter.timbermusicfest.com
