!–paging_filter–pWhen the sun goes into hibernation and Seattle acquires a seemingly permanent damp sheen, your mood isn’t the only thing that shifts—your skin does, too. That’s why Northwest native Susan Grace, a longtime aesthetician whose Suite 300 Skincare salon is based in Ballard, decided to develop a “climate-specific skin wellness system.” The Partly Sunny (a href=”http://www.partlysunnyskin.com” target=”_blank”partlysunnyskin.com/a) line of products, released in October, aims to brighten complexions with ingredients specifically chosen to address Northwest issues—including the vitamin D deficiency that comes with the territory. Grace says a lack of this sunshiny vitamin can result in a “dull, sallow complexion,” so she incorporates it into her line, along with Pacific seaweed, dandelion and pine bark. In order to “reflect the ethics of the Northwest consumer,” the products come in recyclable containers, contain neither sulfates nor parabens and are cruelty free. Reasons enough to lighten up.nbsp;/p
