Two New Mobile Apps for Seattle Dog Lovers
A pair of new apps helps connect Seattle’s canine companions

Think of it as Tinder for pups: The mobile app BarkHappy, which recently launched in Seattle, allows users to set up profiles for their canine best friends, find pup-friendly businesses and connect with other dog lovers nearby to set up playdates.
Your dog might not be the only one who finds his soul mate through the app—users can also include their relationship status in their own bios. If you’re looking for someone to walk Fido for you rather than with you, there’s Wag.
The app connects users with vetted dog walkers to set up a regular schedule or request an emergency walk for those days when you just can’t get out of the office. GPS tracking allows you to follow your dog’s 30-minute walks ($20 each, with discounts for prepurchased packages) virtually through the app, and after each walk you’ll receive a report card that fills you in on all the details (read: poop status). Both apps are free and available on iPhone and Android platforms.
