And The Winner Is…Tacoma!
It’s the cheapest date night in Washington state

Have you ever seen Tacoma in the moonlight? You may want to, considering that date night in the city is about $25 less expensive than in Seattle.
Tacoma is the most cost-effective destination in Washington state based on the price of beer, meals, transportation, and cinema. Movie tickets, for instance, average almost five dollars less than in Seattle. A meal for two runs, on average, $75. At $5.06, a cappuccino in The City of Destiny is among the most affordable in the state.
Tacoma offers “one of the cheapest meal options for two,” and is also “one of the most affordable cities for entertainment, with two cinema tickets costing just $27.24 and public transport averaging $2.38 per single ticket,” according to the study by AirportParkingReservations.com.
Everett ranks a close second, and is also among the cheapest places to enjoy a cold pint of beer, at just $6. Federal Way is No. 3, followed by Spokane, Vancouver, Renton, Kent, Redmond, and Bellevue. Seattle, not surprisingly, ranks last among the 10 cities.
So, you might want to take a trip to the gritty city, where character trumps polish and hipster meets history. Your wallet will thank you.
