One of the city’s most entertaining and, well, fun events is right around the corner. Plymouth Housing’s 16th annual Seattle Dances takes place at Fremont Studios March 8.
Modeled after the iconic show Dancing With The Stars, Seattle Dances pairs local celebrities with a professional dancer. It’s all in the name of raising money for Plymouth Housing, a nonprofit that works to eradicate homelessness by developing and operating affordable housing.
People vote for their favorite dancers with a donation to Plymouth. The evening is live-streamed via YouTube and also features a live audience. Last year’s event raised more than $1.75 million.
This year’s dancers are Microsoft’s Jane Broom Davidson; K&L Gates’ Pallavi Mehta Wahi; Fred Rivera from the Seattle Mariners; Clise Properties’ Sabrina Villanueva; Alex Schrempf from Coldstream Wealth Management; the Port of Seattle’s Nate Caminos; Kathy Cox from the University of Washington and Capella University; Lauren Homme from Lund Opsahl; and Adam Peters of Rachel’s Ginger Beer.
