If you’ve seen fabric sculptor/performance artist/dancer Nick Cave’s otherworldy soundsuits (on display now at the Seattle Art Museum), you’ve probably also imagined what it would feel like to wear a soundsuit of your own. Tomorrow, the public will have the chance to do just that at SAM’s soundsuit parade. Part of the museum’s community night out, parade-goers will meet at the Hammering Man wearing suits of their own creation beginning at 5:30 p.m. SAM has invited local food trucks and a cash bar will be on hand to liven up the event. Want to be part of the parade? Check out Brangien Davis‘ May story on how to make your own DIY soundsuit from everyday materials. A shrug made of ceramic birds? A gown made of old Beanie Babies? Oh the possibilities.

5/5. Parade starts at 5:30 p.m. Seattle Art Museum, 1300 First Ave.; 206.654.3100; seattleartmuseum.org
