Find Your Inner Surfer
CLEAN WATER CLASSIC
Join the hundreds of surfers and wannabes descending upon the coastal town of Westport this month for the ninth edition of the Surfrider Foundation’s Clean Water Classic competition, where top surfers in the Pacific Northwest are judged on their cutbacks and backside airs. If hanging 10 isn’t your thing, hit the beach bluff and watch the gnarly guys and gals in action (and follow the flock to the free after-party). 5/15–5/16. 7 a.m.–5 p.m. Free. Refresh your style at Seattle’s annual Thaw Spring Fashion Show, an evening of funky fun in SoDo benefiting the Northwest chapter of the Huntington’s Disease Society of America.
