Pushing Buttons

A local tech innovation takes the idea of classic medical alert devices and gives them a trendy wearable tech update. The React Sidekick is a Bluetooth gadget that looks like your car key fob and clips on your clothing, bag, or anywhere else; it pairs with the company’s phone app, React Mobile, to help you call services in a health related (or other) emergency without having to directly access your phone. Just push the fob’s button to send an emergency alert via email and text with an option to include social media networks in the chain as well. React is currently raising funds via Kickstarter and hopes to go to market at the end of the year.
