The cherry blossoms aren’t the only buzz in Seattle right now. From the return of Molbak’s to the latest shifts at Fremont Brewing, change is in the air. Downtown, Bumbershoot is carving out a new venue for music and art. Seattle’s culinary talents are spicing up the scene with new cookbooks. And with a Discover Pass Free Day at the state parks on Earth Day, it’s time to kick around in the sun.

Seattle’s always got something going on, and this week’s no different. In the words of Bruce Hornsby, “Some things will never change.” Here are five ways to get out and have fun.

BRUCE HORNSBY AND  YMUSIC

7:30 p.m., Benaroya Hall, $55+

After winning three Grammys, Bruce Hornsby teams up with New York-based chamber ensemble yMusic for a one-night performance at Benaroya Hall. Expect new collaborations and classics from Hornsby’s catalog. Each ticket comes with a CD of their album, “Deep Sea Vents.”

FAT HAM

Now-May 12

12 p.m., 2 p.m., 5:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m., Seattle Rep, $20+

Juicy, a young queer Black man, faces chaos: His mother marries his uncle after his father’s sudden death, and then his father’s ghost shows up at a family barbecue demanding revenge. Does this ring a bell? Inspired by Shakespeare’s Hamlet, this Pulitzer Prize-winning play, fresh from Broadway, is a new comedy about the quest for love and liberation.
