You can dress them up or down. They come in various fabrics, colors, and styles. They adapt to different seasons, making them a favorite among Washingtonians who appreciate practical yet stylish wardrobe choices. Have you guessed it yet? We’re talking about print dresses.

It turns out that Washington residents are obsessed with print summer dresses. Research by online fashion retailer boohoo.com found that these sun-kissed silhouettes are the preferred look across the state this summer. Fashion experts say prints can boost confidence, create visual interest, and express individuality.

Florals are big right now, especially floor-length dresses with rose prints, capturing what Vogue calls the season of the rose. Metallics are also trending, so look for prints in shimmery silvers and golds. The ’90s redux trend brings bold colors, which are perfect for print dresses. And don’t forget that the modern flapper look is in — think pretty tiered shift dresses in geometric designs, swirls, and stripes.

So, go ahead and add a little print to your step this summer. You’ll have plenty of company
