This one is not just for tourists.

Argosy Cruises is giving locals a new lens in which to view their city with its new Summer Views Cruise this summer. The 90-minute excursion prioritizes breathtaking scenery with minimal narration for a tranquil escape on the picturesque waters of Puget Sound.

Tourists are welcome, of course, but Argosy Vice President James Clark says the cruise is designed for locals by locals, or a townie treasure, if you will.

“This isn’t your standard, scripted cruise experience. We want locals to cast off the routine and embrace a more relaxed way to see the city they know and love,” Clark says. “To soak in the beauty of the harbor, skyline, and Olympic Mountains. It’s a chance to reconnect with Seattle.”

The cruise is a laid-back nautical journey around Elliott Bay, Alki Point and into Puget Sound. It differs from Argosy’s regular harbor cruise in that it’s longer, covers more ground and doesn’t include live narration. It launched last month and runs into September.

“Sometimes, the best way to explore your city is from a whole new perspective,” Clark adds.

Easy breezy cruising.
