Seattle’s Phillip Lomax on the ‘X Factor’

Our staff photographer, Hayley Young, just alerted me to the fact that an adorable Seattleite named Phillip Lomax has made his way to the bootcamp stage of Simon Cowell’s new Idol-esque program called The X Factor.

Here’s Lomax keeping it classy in his audition with Frank Sinatra’s “Fly Me to the Moon.”

Hayley tells me she first met Lomax while filming the Hey Marseilles “Rio” video, which she directed herself.

Lomax, who attended Cornish College of the Arts, choreographed the dance sequence and appears in it himself towards the end.

Watch tonight and tomorrow on Fox as 150 contestants face the Boot Camp stage to see if “Team Lomax” makes it through the next round of cuts.

Team Lomax’s smile has my vote already.
