In terms of pop culture notoriety, Ms. Pak-Man is just as famous as any icon of stage or screen—and her life story, told between sips of sloshing martini, is as sordid as that of any tabloid queen. Scott Shoemaker, creator of holiday camp-stravaganza Scott Shoemaker’s War on Christmas and collaborator on much of Seattle’s greatest cabaret/comedy work, returns with the sixth installment of Ms. Pak-Man full of all new songs and jokes for the star of the classic video game. In the cabaret show, backed up by the glamorous Ghostettes, this washed-up train wreck of a songstress relives her glory days and reveals her deepest, darkest, funniest secrets. Past Pak-Man shows have focused on celeb tropes, such as scandalous love affairs and the inevitable tell-all memoir; in Ms. Pak-Man: Breakout!, buckle up for a ride through the divine Ms. P’s checkered past with the penal system.
