Seeing iconic landmarks and historical sites is part of the allure of travel, but often it’s the little things—the hidden gems that don’t appear in guidebooks or brochures—that make a trip unforgettable.

Sharing those lucky finds and personal experiences is the inspiration behind Jrrny (jrrny.com), a website launched in February by local entrepreneur (and former COO of Seattle magazine’s publishing company) John Kueber.

The site helps users create custom itineraries with the benefit of tips posted by fellow users. The posts—which cover “craft doughnuts” in Milwaukee, cruising India on a houseboat and seemingly everything in between—are not meant to be comprehensive guides, according to Kueber, but something to spark your own adventures.

“Said shortly, breadth and inspiration are more meaningful to us than completeness,” he explains.

Check it out before you book your summer vacation—then post your experiences and photos on your return to fuel others’ wanderlust.
