Jack’s BBQ Adds Breakfast Tacos to the Menu
Your morning just got a whole lot better
By Chelsea Lin January 25, 2017

Are there two more perfect words together than “breakfast” and “tacos”? The soul-satisfying food is ubiquitous in Texas: “In Austin and San Antonio, they are as common as coffee shops in Seattle!” says owner Jack Timmons of Jack’s BBQ in Georgetown. He loves them. His staff loves them.
It’s a natural fit, then, that Timmons’ Texas-style temple to grilled meats is now serving breakfast tacos with smoked brisket, pork or sausage (plus the requisite eggs, potatoes and cheese) from 7 to 9 a.m. on weekdays. The tacos are $2.75-$3.50 each and are available for dine-in or take-out. There’s coffee, too, though nothing fancy.
Timmons says that over time, he wants to add to the menu—including breakfast burritos, yessssss—but the “real fun,” he says, will come when Jack’s launches its planned brunch menu, hopefully this spring.
Can’t get enough breakfast tacos, but want one after 9 a.m.? I get it. Check out Sunrise Tacos at Tougo, Tin Umbrella, and Cone and Steiner, among other cafes. Manu Alfau also makes a mean breakfast taco from the walk-up window at Manu’s Bodegita.
